The children at the Rio Sella scool in Arriondas will be given the chance to come to the Bebeteca to hear a story read to them in English. It will be read to them by one of the parents at the school who is British. Each individual class will be invited to come along and the following week they will be read the same story in Spanish. This is a project to give all of the children the opportunity to hear the English language spoken in its native form, at a level that they will find both approachable and enjoyable! By the end of the school year, every child in the Primary school will have had the chance to hear a story read to them in English and, should this prove to be successful, we hope to continue with this theme into 2009/10 and beyond.
Cada jueves, a la hora del recreo previa invitación oficial, la bebeteca del colegio alberga a un grupo de alumnos/as del 2º o del 3º ciclo de primaria.

Sara Aubrey , mamá nativa, nos deleita con su maravillosa narración del Gruffalo (digna de la mejor cuentacuentos profesional).Los personajes elaborados por alumnas/os de secundaria del IESO durante el curso 07-08 para un cuentacuentos en infantil, han sido el soporte gráfico-visual utilizado por Sara.
Al jueves siguiente el cuento se proyecta y se narra en castellano al grupo que ya lo escuchó en inglés.
Esta actividad se complementa entregando a cada niño/a unas direcciones webs para acceder a páginas donde escuchar el cuento en inglés o realizar actividades.
Por cierto, a veces la ficción puede llegar a convertirse en realidad ,tanto es así que desde Londres hemos conseguido unas verrugas muy especiales…
